Accounts Assistant (FTC)
The Accounts Assistant role will play an important role across multiple areas of the finance team’s operations, supporting key processes and contributing to overall efficiency.

The Role
The newly created Accounts Assistant role will play an important role across multiple areas of the finance team’s operations, supporting key processes and contributing to overall efficiency. The role will report to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities will include
Client Cashiering
Monitoring and processing bank account transactions.
Handling client-related disbursement payments.
Reconciling bank accounts.
Accounts Payable
Processing supplier invoices and corporate card statements.
Ensuring invoices and expenses are approved in accordance with firm policies.
Ensuring invoices are consistent with VAT regulations.
Handling ad hoc payments and supplier payment runs.
Providing support on queries from external suppliers and internal staff.
Billing Support
Supporting the billing team with bill production and processing.
Assisting with client and matter set up and maintenance
Prepare, upload and manage e-billing files.
Financial and Management Accounting
Assisting with month end accounts preparation including calculation of accruals, prepayments
and depreciation charges.
Processing of accounting journals and adjustments.
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
The candidate will have worked in a professional services industry and possess:

High level of attention to detail, sound judgment, and logical decision making with a hands-on approach.
Strong Excel skills.
Previous experience of Aderant preferred, but not essential.
