HR and Recruitment Assistant (Maternity Cover - 12 month FTC)
The HR and Recruitment Assistant will support the HR team to deliver a high quality and responsive HR and recruitment service to all offices across the firm.

The Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR and Recruitment Assistant will support the HR team to deliver a high quality and responsive HR and recruitment service to all offices across the firm.
This is a 12-month maternity cover (FTC).
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment
Managing the recruitment inbox, corresponding with candidates and recruiters.
Maintaining accurate recruitment records, and monitoring for GDPR compliance.
Arranging in-person and virtual interviews and assessments across all of the firm’s offices and liaising with recruiters or candidates directly as appropriate.
Assisting with annual recruitment processes in conjunction with universities.
Drafting weekly recruitment updates for each office.
Posting job descriptions and job adverts on the firm’s website and LinkedIn.
Assisting with other ad hoc recruitment tasks and projects as they arise.
HR
Contracts – preparing employment contracts and offer letters.
Onboarding – maintaining employee HR files in the firm’s document management and HR system, Cascade; scheduling induction training; conducting right to work checks; assisting with benefits administration.
Visas – assisting with obtaining visas for new joiners and visa renewals for existing employees.
Offboarding – preparing leaver letters; liaising with IT regarding system access; cancelling benefits.
References – drafting responses to requests for employment, mortgage, and rental references.
Probation periods – monitoring probation periods and scheduling mid and end point reviews; gathering and presenting feedback to support the reviews; providing letters and update HR records as required.
Payroll – providing monthly updates on staff changes (joiners, leavers, changes in work pattern, overtime, etc.) to payroll in a timely manner.
HR records – maintaining accurate HR records, ensuring that all changes (joiners, leavers, maternity leave, etc.) are recorded promptly and effectively.
Reports – providing monthly and ad hoc reports.
Projects – supporting and contributing to HR initiatives and projects as a key member of the HR team.

Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Word and Excel.
Experience of working within an international environment and across time zones would be an advantage.
A desire to contribute to the firm’s growth and success.
Full business proficiency in English.
Two years’ relevant experience in recruitment and/or HR (desirable).
Experience with using an HRIS or applicant tracking system (desirable).
Experience of working in a law firm (desirable).
