Business Development & Marketing Pitch Specialist
This role will lead on the delivery of key pitches and experience capture across the firm, whilst providing support on a range of day-to-day business development and marketing activities.

The Role
The newly created Business Development & Marketing Pitch Specialist role will lead on the delivery of key pitches and experience capture across the firm, whilst providing support on a range of day-to-day BD and marketing activities. The primary focus will be to lead and elevate the firm’s approach to pitching, credentials and experience management, in addition to supporting the BD and marketing director with the adoption of AI and data management techniques to enhance the entire BD and marketing function, systems and processes.
Responsibilities
The specialist will contribute to the delivery of selected firmwide BD strategic priorities and play an integral part in the ongoing professionalisation of the BD and marketing function.
Key areas of work and responsibility will include:
Lead on delivery of key firmwide pitching and experience capture
Act as the BD lead for significant pitches, credentials requests and panel submissions, ensuring high-quality, timely, and competitive outputs.
Work closely with partners, lawyers, and the BD and Marketing Director to shape pitch strategy, messaging, and positioning aligned to client needs and firm priorities.
Oversee the capture, curation, and ongoing development of firm experience and credentials, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easy to deploy.
Provide hands-on drafting, editing, and quality control of pitch documents, credential statements and brochures, tailoring content for different audiences, sectors, and jurisdictions.
Enhance pitch and experience capture best practice, and ensure adoption of this best practice across the BD and marketing team and wider firm
Develop and refine pitch and credentials best-practice frameworks, templates, and guidance to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality across the firm.
Champion improved processes for experience capture, including post-matter reviews and systematic collection of client-relevant data.
Train and support BD and marketing colleagues and fee-earners on pitch best practice, tools, and systems, encouraging strong engagement and adoption.
Monitor pitch outcomes, feedback, and trends to identify improvement opportunities and feed insights back into strategy and content development.
The adoption of AI and Data Management techniques to enhance the entire BD and marketing function, systems and processes
Support the BD and marketing director in identifying and piloting practical AI-enabled tools to improve pitching, experience capture, research, and content creation.
Help embed data-driven approaches across BD and marketing activities, using insights from CRM, pitch outcomes, and client data to inform strategy and prioritisation.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of structured, high-quality BD data (including experience, credentials and client intelligence) to maximise usability and impact.
Promote responsible, secure, and effective use of AI and data tools, working with internal stakeholders to develop guidance, workflows, and adoption of best practice.
Support strategic BD and marketing priorities
Lead and/or support select firmwide BD and marketing strategic initiatives, with allocation based on relevance, bandwidth, and annual priorities.
Contribute to cross-office BD efforts where coordination or specialist input is needed.
Support targeted marketing campaigns, communications, and other BD outputs connected to the strategic priority initiatives.
Contribute to BD team operations and systems improvements
Provide support to wider BD team as needed across the year (e.g., pitches, directory submissions, content coordination, lawyer profiles, research).
Participate in BD systems upgrade projects, including enhancements to the CRM platform, website, knowledge management, and experience database.
Support broader BD team projects to improve efficiency, reporting, knowledge management, and internal communication.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
At least three years’ business development and marketing experience, in particular pitching, gained within a law firm or within the arbitration/litigation ecosystem. International arbitration or disputes experience is desirable but not crucial.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong stakeholder-management skills and experience working collaboratively with lawyers.
Ability to prioritise and multi-task particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Proficiency with relevant tools such as Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Mailchimp a plus.
Full business proficiency in English. Full proficiency in other languages, such as Spanish or French, can be a plus.
Some international travel may be required, so candidates should have a current passport.
